Christmas tree skirt

Made this Christmas tree skirt as a gift for my daughter, Robyn & her fiance' Mike. 2017.

Microwave bowls.

Made some microwave bowls as gifts for Christmas 2017. These are great to use when heating up food in the microwave as it prevents the bowl from burning your hands.

Monday 21 March 2016

These were Christmas gifts made for my daughter, Robyn, and my son, Wade. Dec. 2015.
The top one is a panel that I heavily quilted and then added the battery powered lights from the back. I sewed  a small pocket on the back for the battery pack to sit in.
The bottom one was initially supposed to be finished at 48" square, but I wanted it smaller so I made it 1/2 size. That made for some pretty small 1/2 " pieces but it worked out ok. I learned a lot from my mistakes making this one. This quilt hangs in my son's home office and is appropriate as his videography business is called "Vincent and Theo", named after Vincent Van Goh and his brother, Theo.
